About

Jason Hedden is a teacher, actor and director. He holds an A.A in theatre from Gulf Coast State College, a B.A. in Theatre Performance from The University of South Florida and an M.F.A in Acting and New Works from The Ohio State University. He has taught students from age 5 to 75 in VA, FL, WA, CA and OH as a freelance teaching artist, high school drama teacher and a college professor. Jason is currently a Professor of Theatre and Chair of Visual & Performing Arts at Gulf Coast State College. Professional acting credits include Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theatre and Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) where he is a founding board member. He was last seen on stage in ECTC’s production of Around the World in 80 Days. His original solo show, Resurrecting van Gogh has been performed across the country. He is a frequent public speaker on the topics of arts and education and has recently been working as a poet and stand-up comedian. He enjoys traveling and spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife and son.

I’m JT founder of support local in Florida we have adopted a Ren Faire that was going to be canceled if we didn’t pick it up and it was to be sold to the folks in Biloxi I was really interested in trying to find some play actors to do like Shakespeare or anything of that era as well as maybe some larpers to perform as Knights and any other vendor activity that is authentic to the culture of Renaissance
