Jason Hedden is a teacher, actor and director. He holds an A.A in theatre from Gulf Coast State College, a B.A. in Theatre Performance from The University of South Florida and an M.F.A in Acting and New Works from The Ohio State University. He has taught students from age 5 to 75 in VA, FL, WA, CA and OH as a freelance teaching artist, high school drama teacher and a college professor. Jason is currently a Professor of Theatre and Chair of Visual & Performing Arts at Gulf Coast State College. Professional acting credits include Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theatre and Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) where he is a founding board member. He was last seen on stage in ECTC’s production of Popcorn Falls. His original solo show, Resurrecting van Gogh has been performed across the country. He is a frequent public speaker on the topics of arts and education and he is active as a poet and stand-up comedian. He enjoys traveling and spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife and son.
